Connect a controller, then press a button.

USB and Bluetooth controllers are supported. Some browsers only reveal a controller after the first button press.

How to use this gamepad tester

  1. Connect the controller by USB or Bluetooth, press a button so the browser can detect it, then move every stick and trigger.
  2. Repeat the same movement across the full test area. A problem that appears in the same place on each pass is more useful than a single missed input.
  3. Repeat the test once if the result looks unusual, then record the final reading you want to keep.

About this gamepad tester

Gamepad Tester helps you check every button, trigger, stick, and D-pad input live. The input and result appear together for easy comparison.

You can also use it to find analog-stick drift or a bad axis.

Example

A controller with stick drift may show an axis value that keeps moving or never settles close to 0 while the stick is untouched.

Common uses

  • check controller buttons and triggers
  • find analog-stick drift or a bad axis
  • test a used gamepad before keeping it
